“A bird doesn’t sing because it has an answer, it sings because it has a song.”
In 2011, this little lark was created with the intention to share my Chinese medical school experiences with close friends and family. Throughout the last 5 years, it has expanded to an audience of over 5,000, took on a new web address, and even developed into more of an informative health and wellness site, regularly hosting a number of guest posts. After transforming into many different versions of itself and trying on different “outfits”, this blog has gone full circle, now returning back to its roots where it feels most authentic; just me and my thoughts and perhaps the occasional post highlighting someone I think needs to be seen/heard. My intention in life is to continually improve my physical, emotional, and spiritual well-being, and through sharing my process, perhaps you will find a little inspiration as well. : )
Why “this little lark“?
The lark has boundless energy and symbolizes hope, happiness, and good fortune. It sings an unusually beautiful song, delivering it while ascending and hovering high in the sky. Symbolically, the lark reflects the inward journey that’s often associated with self-discovery. This little lark’s purpose is to encourage us to explore our inner selves and sing out loud!
